We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to coordinate and manage the work of two multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to deliver the Financial Systems Program (Technology 1 and TM1) under the Modernisation and Improvement Program.
Operating under general direction from the Financial Systems Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of required outputs, managing risks and issues, and taking appropriate action to escalate when needed.
You will work closely with stakeholders to agree on scope, schedules and quality expectations, and maintain strong communication to support successful delivery outcomes. Estimated start date

Key duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Modernisation and Improvement Program, and in line with strategic objectives, you will have the following key responsibilities:
* Planning and scheduling the agile delivery process, drawing on vendor and stakeholder input to define sprint scope, milestones, and overall delivery timelines. Work with the Project Co-ordinator/Scrum Master to ensure resource planning and allocation across the Fin Systems workstreams.
* Management of resources, including allocating tasks to team members and ensuring that the two MDTs stay on track to deliver.
* Taking responsibility for resolution of impediments that are threatening delivery.
* Identifying risks to delivery and developing mitigations to reduce these risks.
* Communicating with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and others, to ensure that everyone is informed about the progress of the delivery.
* Tracking progress and adjusting as needed to keep the delivery on track.
* Providing guidance to team members to ensure that they have the skills and support they need to complete their tasks.
* Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage expectations.
* Provide support to the FinSystems Program Manager on vendor and contract management of the TM1 and Technology 1 contracts. Run the environment and release management cycles in the deployments for TM1 and Technology 1.
*The Must Haves:* Previous experience as a delivery manager or scrum master for IT system implementation projects. A strong ability to manage priorities, organise workloads and meet challenging deadlines under limited direction.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders both verbally and written.
Experience evaluating risk in the context of a complex and changing environment and experience dealing with a range of complex and/or contentious matters.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills, including work prioritisation, dealing with competing requirements/workloads, and maintaining a customer focus.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills based on sound judgement, expertise and knowledge.
Experience building team capability through onboarding, mentoring and working with senior staff to improve practices and ways of working.
Demonstrated experience in federal government procurement, contract and vendor management.
Demonstrated experience in successful environment and release management.
Demonstrated experience in managing User Acceptance testing and Post Verification Testing.
You MUST be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of a Baseline Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
