A bit about your role
The Executive Manager, Security Design leads the engineering of advanced, next-generation, AI-centric offensive and defensive cyber security capabilities for the enterprise. As a senior leader within Enterprise Security Enablement (ESE), you will establish and lead the Security Group's technical Centre of Excellence (CoE) for security engineering.
The CoE is responsible for designing and engineering cyber security capabilities capable of autonomous attack simulation and defence at scale, detecting and preventing emerging threats in near real time. The role works in close partnership across the enterprise, including Security Architecture, Operations, and Offensive Security, to ensure defensive engineering outcomes are aligned to reference architectures, adversary-informed testing and operational effectiveness.
A bit about you
We are seeking a senior cyber security engineering leader with deep expertise in offensive-informed defence and AI-driven security design, operating effectively in complex enterprise environments
The successful candidate will bring comprehensive technical depth across AI/ML, Secure Coding, offensive security testing and modern cyber defence engineering. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory obligations, including ASD ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, SOCI, TSSR, NIST CSF and NIST SP 800-53, supported by recognised industry certifications.
This role requires advanced communication, influencing, planning, and organisational skills, with the capability to operate confidently in complex enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate will be recognised for combining deep technical authority with strategic insight, building high-performing engineering teams and driving innovation across diverse security domains.
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government security clearance (minimum NV1).
