Job Summary
Step into a Principal Engineer role where you'll lead engineering teams, shape technical direction and turn complex challenges into scalable solutions. You'll drive innovation, set the standard for design and delivery, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful customer and service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engineering teams to deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions
* Shape technical direction across design, delivery and innovation
* Drive CI/CD, DevOps and cloud uplift at enterprise scale
Day‐to‐Day Activities
* Lead one or more engineering scrum teams to plan, deliver and support service features that deliver customer value and/or mature service capability. Responsible for technical direction and identifying innovation solutions. To solve complex and/or large problem, translate vague problems into actionable items.
* Define the detailed technical roadmap in conjunction with the Engineering Manager, Domain architect, Security architect, Tech and BA Leads.
* Triage new demand and ensure sufficient design guidance exists at high level for hand‐off to the scrum tech lead for detailed design.
* Engage in hands‐on development to balance workload or address significant complexity through technical spikes: build, system‐test including non‐functional aspects.
* Present technical problems and/or solutions in business terms, pitch to executives as well as various senior stakeholders within the company as required.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in technology.
* Experience in application development and/or design support roles.
* Expert software engineering (JAVA / #C), solution design and/or architectural decision.
* Familiar with major cloud technologies (mainly on Azure and AWS).
* Hands‐on experience and design of EKS and AKS operator solutions supporting multiple asset teams at enterprise scale.
* Experience in leading, designing and implementing CI/CD solutions that work at scale at enterprise scale.
* Deep understanding of cloud security as well as hands‐on experience with DevSecOps.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders (product owners, engineers executives and other senior stakeholders).
