About The Role And Where You Will Be Working
Our residential Care team at Germanus Kent House are looking for a Cook to work closely with the Chef on a permanent part time basis. Shifts are Fridays and Saturdays. You will help our residents feel at home by catering to a range of dietary needs, including texture-modified meals or plated presentations as required. Residents enjoy freshly prepared meals, regular outings, music therapy and family‑like care.
About You
You may already be working in a similar role in aged care, or in restaurants/commercial kitchens and are ready to try something different.
To Be Considered For This Role, You'll Need
* Prior experience in commercial cooking services
* Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, texture modified, purees, etc.)
* Maintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
* An understanding of specific dietary requirements
* Knowledge of safe handling & storage of chemicals
* Great interpersonal skills
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery from an accredited training body
