Role summary: The Training and Development Coordinator is to drive, plan, procure, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, document and report on training activities within the East Arnhem Regional Council (EARC).
Responsibilities
Drive, plan, procure, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, document and report on training activities.
Design and deliver in-house training such as inductions and other required courses.
Coordinate multiple training events in corporate and/or community settings.
Work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
Prepare training materials and maintain accurate records.
Utilise Microsoft Office tools to support planning and reporting.
Adapt workload planning in a rapidly changing environment.
Qualifications and experience
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Training, Business, or Human Resources Management, or minimum two years' experience in a related role.
Proven experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role with strong customer focus.
Hands-on experience organising and coordinating multiple training events; ability to design and deliver in-house training.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to negotiate, influence outcomes and solve training-related issues.
Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite; ability to plan, organise, prioritise and coordinate workload.
Desirable: experience in a Local Government context and/or working in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; high cross-cultural awareness.
Compensation and benefits
Salary: Level 6/7, $90,678.12 – $105,120.61 (commensurate with experience). Full-time permanent employment with 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
