*ABOUT THE ROLE:*

As a CCS Contact Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children to re-establish or maintain safe and meaningful relationships with both parents and/or other significant people in their lives. You will facilitate supervised contact visits and changeover arrangements in a child-focused, neutral, and welcoming environment.

Interrelate's Children's Contact Service (CCS) provides a safe space for families to connect, rebuild trust, and nurture relationships. Our service is designed to support children who do not live with, or regularly see, one or both parents. We offer supervised contact and changeover/change-back support in a relaxed, family-friendly setting that prioritises the wellbeing of children.

****Key duties will include:******

* Supervising children's contact, and facilitating changeover of children between parents whilst maintaining focus on the safety and well-being of the child
* Supporting and providing encouragement to families to engage in positive family connection and experiences
* Modelling positive parenting behaviours
* Completing well documented case notes of family connections
* Facilitating the promotion of Interrelate's Services within the community
* Being well-informed about other relevant and appropriate community services in the area to facilitate effective referrals
* Adhering to appropriate work practices to protect the confidentiality of clients
* Participating in program and service evaluations as required

This position will be Casual and will provide centre-based services in Griffith.

Our Children's Contact Service is operational from 9am-8pm (MON & FRI) and 9am-6pm (SAT). Candidates who have the flexibility to attend shifts across weekdays, early evenings and Saturdays will be highly regarded.

Please note that some rostered shifts may only be scheduled for a maximum duration of 3 hours.

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS:**

* Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services. (A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or counselling will be highly regarded)
* Demonstrated experience working with families and children experiencing separation and family breakdown and high levels of family conflict
* Demonstrated experience working in one or more areas of clinical work, e.g. counselling, dispute resolution, relationship education, children's services, men's programs, family law
* Knowledge of child development, child protection, and family violence issues
* Demonstrated skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of children
* A current Apply First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate, or willingness to attain one within the first month of employment
