Role Overview
We are seeking to establish a pool of Library Officers for permanent and fixed term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time during this period.
Responsibilities
As the Library Officer you would support the day‐to‐day operations of the library and provide reference, information, and associated services to teaching staff and students. You may assist students and staff with the selection of appropriate reading resources and supervise small groups of students in class learning activities relating to the library.
Suitable applicants will provide general clerical and library support, including preparing correspondence and booking equipment and facilities, and maintain the resources and environment of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. They will also operate library systems which ensure library records, budgeting, and resources are up‐to‐date and accessible.
Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
