The role
As a Consultant/Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will:
* Provide high-quality clinical care in the Emergency Department
* Work with limited or no supervision, exercising advanced clinical judgement in a multidisciplinary environment
* Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day management of the ED floor
* Respond to MET / Code Blue / Code Black as allocated on shift
* Supervise, support and develop junior medical staff
* Contribute to teaching, audit, quality improvement, and health promotion/community education activities

About you
You will bring:
* Demonstrated clinical excellence in rural emergency medicine
* Strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
* Proven leadership in improving clinical outcomes and implementing change
* Experience implementing/reviewing best-practice clinical processes and evidence-based care
* Ability to engage and influence others to improve Aboriginal health service delivery
Essential criteria
* MBBS (or equivalent)
* Eligible for Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Must hold a specialist qualification with the following colleges - RACGP, ACRRM and ACEM and be registrable as a specialist with AHPRA
