The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) South Eastern
Section is one of Australia's most trusted providers of 24/7 emergency
aeromedical retrievals and essential healthcare for remote, rural and regional
communities. We also deliver a wide range of primary and preventative services
including GP clinics, mental health support, alcohol and other drug
counselling, dental care, chronic disease management and telehealth.
Our Wellbeing Team is dedicated to strengthening the
wellbeing of individuals, families, and entire communities—especially in
regions where services are scarce. We provide comprehensive mental health,
alcohol and other drug, and general wellbeing support across West and Far West
NSW. Working alongside Primary Health staff, we deliver care through regular
outreach clinics and from our welcoming Wellbeing Places in Broken Hill, Cobar,
Dubbo, and Lightning Ridge. Together, we're helping communities access the wellbeing
support they deserve, wherever they live.
About the Role
We're seeking a
friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of
our Broken Hill Wellbeing Place. This
is a full-time role (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm) where you'll greet clients
and visitors, keep daily operations running smoothly, and help create a
positive, supportive environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a warm, welcoming presence at the
Wellbeing Place, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
* Coordinate appointments, calendars, and
meetings, supporting intake and triage processes
* Collaborate with clinicians, committees, and
community partners to streamline referrals and service delivery
* Support the team with accreditation,
compliance, and reporting requirements
* Record and organise data in spreadsheets and
the client information system to support reporting, quality improvement, and
evaluation (including event feedback and satisfaction surveys)
* Coordinate consultant documentation and insurance
requirements
* Collaborate with the MHAOD team and community
members around wellbeing intensives and other wellbeing focused health
promotion initiatives
* Provide administrative support including
filing, finance assistance, and Microsoft Office/Base connect tasks
About You:
* Demonstrated experience in office
administration; experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills and the ability
to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
* Capable of working independently as well as
part of a collaborative team
* Maintains professional boundaries and upholds
strict confidentiality
* Willingness to complete Mental Health First Aid
training
* Proficient with computers and confident using
scheduling and administrative software
* Holds a valid driver's license and NSW Working
with Children Check
