This role requires driving accurate, timely costing of complex electrical infrastructure projects such as transmission lines, substations, and grid-scale BESS. Ensuring estimates align with technical specs, company standards, AS/NZS/IEC regulations (including AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, AS/NZS/IEC 62271) and win strategies is key.
 * Main Responsibilities:
 * Reviewing RFQs, dissecting scope, terms, and technical/commercial commitments.
 * Developing first-principle models from client/engineering data, including direct/indirect costs, risk, and contingency.
 * Overseeing bid writing plans, assigning resources, managing deadlines, and ensuring compelling, compliant submissions.
 * Collating material take-offs, labour costs, and benchmarks into crystal-clear spreadsheets/databases.
 * Working hand-in-glove with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Development to align estimates, schedules, and methodologies.
 * Conducting thorough risk assessments and refining costings through senior management reviews.
 * Engaging suppliers, subcontractors, and industry bodies to source competitive quotes and innovative solutions.
 * Guaranteeing all estimates, reports, and bid documents meet deadlines and the highest standards of accuracy and presentation.
