Hays Human Resources has a 1-year fixed term available for an experienced HR Business Partner to work within a large HR team for a client, with a salary up to $140,000 plus super. The role can be based at various sites across NSW, with three days onsite and one day remote work.
Your new role
Reporting to your manager, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with people leaders across the organization. You will also build relationships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that support business goals.
Key tasks include:
Providing workforce strategic and operational guidance, advice, and support to the MA State Director Leadership Team, People Leaders, and employees as needed.
Coaching and advising relevant People Leaders on HR and ER issues.
Supporting operational aspects of the business.
Managing recruitment processes.
Ensuring HR/ER solutions provided by People Leaders lead to positive business outcomes.
Handling industrial relations (IR) matters.
Working with both blue- and white-collar employees.
Responding promptly to HR requests.
Completing ad hoc tasks as directed by your People Leader.
Utilizing people leader tools and supporting leader development.
Encouraging managers to actively participate in HR matters as per the HR Self Service Model.
Using metric tools to educate People Leaders and improve operational performance.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a seasoned HR Business Partner with extensive experience as an HR Generalist, capable of starting effectively in the role. You must be self-sufficient, experienced in employee relations (including grievances and performance management), coaching, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You should enjoy working within a complex, diverse organization and be supportive in coaching staff on HR principles and practices.
