We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to help maintain the high standards across our beautiful estate locations.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on position responsible for maintaining and improving buildings, grounds, and guest areas across multiple Sidewood locations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our spaces are safe, functional, and visually outstanding—supporting both daily operations and special events.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general repairs and maintenance across offices, hospitality spaces, and guest areas
* Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and fixture repairs
* Maintain outdoor areas including lawns, gardens, walkways, patios, and car parks
* Conduct preventative and seasonal maintenance (e.g. gutter cleaning, pressure washing)
* Monitor and maintain safety features such as lighting, signage, and pathways
* Travel between sites to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
* Assist with event setup and pack-down when required
* Manage tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
* Identify and proactively address maintenance issues
* Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, facilities, landscaping, or similar
* Strong all-round practical skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, general repairs)
* Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the go
* Comfortable working across multiple locations
* Reliable, organised, and takes pride in quality workmanship
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 25kg (with support for heavier items)
* Comfortable with ladders, bending, kneeling, and extended physical activity
* Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Able to complete a physical assessment if required
