Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of vehicles and equipment, reporting directly to the Workshop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fault diagnosis and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components;
* Regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations;
* Collaboration with other workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results;
* Provision of accurate records of work completed, including time sheets and maintenance reports;

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A recognized qualification in diesel mechanics or a related field;
* Previous experience working with heavy machinery, particularly Kenworth, Cummins, and CAT vehicles;
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex problems and develop effective solutions;
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management;
* High-level time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
