Civmec are currently seeking experienced Painter Blasters to support our upcoming CSBP work which include a 4-week shut down campaign running throughout February as well as ongoing construction and maintenance. This work forms part of the CSBP Sodium Cyanide Expansion project in Kwinana WA and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
1. 2. Casual Rates plus Penalties after 36 hours
3. Site and Travel allowances
4. Mobilise and demobilising blasting hoppers/spray pumps and encapsulations
5. Abrasive blast, ranging from a whip class SA 3 on ferrous and nonferrous substrates using both garnet and steel abrasives
6. Hand/Mechanical preparation of repair areas using orbital sanders and MBX's
7. Brush/Roll stripe coats as required.
8. Using mainly airless spray, apply up to 5 coats systems required DFT's/specifications
9. Application of; Inorganic zinc's, Epoxy zinc's, High build epoxies, Antifouls and Acrylic polyurethanes.
10. Remediate areas marked up by quality inspectors to meet the requirements of clients' specification.
11. Keep a safe and tidy work area and product storage room.
12. Perform other general duties if required.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
13. Available for the full 4-week period commencing 01/02/2026
14. Flexibility to work both Day and Night shift
15. 3-5 years' experience within industry
16. Airless spray and blastering experience
17. Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
18. Current Drivers Licence
19. Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
20. Previous construction experience
21. Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
