About the role
Are you a customer-focused professional looking for a rewarding full-time role that offers stability as well as flexibility?
We're seeking a motivated Gaming Cashier to join our team at the Cowboys Leagues Club in Townsville, Queensland. In this Full-Time role, you'll be responsible for overseeing cash functions in our gaming room to ensure that all legislative and compliance requirements are always met.
What you'll be doing
* Following a 2-week alternating roster of Days and Nights,
Full-Time hours - Days: 9:45am to 6:15pm & Nights: 5:45pm to 2:15am
* Provide exceptional customer service across the gaming floor and cashier area
* Process payouts, cash handling, and float balancing accurately to comply with all cash handling policies and procedures
* Assist patrons with gaming enquiries and membership transactions
* Monitor gaming areas to ensure safe and compliant patron behaviour
* Follow Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) and Club procedures
* Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Club procedures
* Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report faults
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe gaming environment for staff and patrons
* Communicate effectively with gaming supervisors and duty managers
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 year experience in a cash handling and troubleshooting
* Experience in a gaming environment - advantageous
* Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional member/guest experiences
* Proficiency in cash handling with a strong understanding of compliance to all legislative and company obligations and practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
Mandatory requirements
* Must hold a current Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG)
* Must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
* Must hold or willing to complete Food Safety Handlers Certificate
