End2endcivilcomms has opportunities with several leading companies involved in NBN projects and we are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team.
Nature of position : Permanent, Full Time
Location : South East Qld
Role and Responsibilities
Communicating with customers to understand their requirements.
Understanding of safe work practices and risk management.
Understanding the quality assurance standard required by the client.
Working in a timely manner to meet deadlines from the client.
Understanding of SWMS, JSA and permitting systems.
Reliable and Punctual.
Skills and experience
Experience in the telecommunications industry working in live carrier networks (2 years).
Working at heights and EWP viewed favourably. (Will put through training)
Single & Ribbon splicing experience would be viewed favourably.
Internal cabling and conduiting in commercial / residential properties.
Preparation and splicing of optic fibre cables internal and external enclosures and frames.
Reading and understanding network plans and drawings.
Testing and Commissioning of links as per customer requirements.
Knowledge of NBN DFN and LFN infrastructure.
Knowledge of carrier network.
Knowledge of Cable Hauling Practices and Procedures.
Knowledge of multiple Carrier Optical Fibre Networks.
Fault diagnosis and repair.
Working in Telstra exchanges.
Sound computer skills.
Company Vehicle and fuel card.

Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
Current driver's license
