We are seeking a dynamic Nursing Director to lead the Professional Practice Support Unit across North West HHS. This senior leadership role drives excellence in nursing and midwifery education, professional practice, and governance—supporting safe, high‐quality, person‐centred care across diverse rural and remote settings.
About the role
Provide contemporary operational and professional leadership for nursing and midwifery education and practice development across North West HHS.
Responsibilities
* Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Professional Practice Support Unit, including workforce, financial, and resource management.
* Leading the development and delivery of evidence‐based nursing and midwifery education aligned with clinical governance and professional standards.
* Driving quality improvement, innovation, research, and change management to enhance professional practice and patient outcomes.
Benefits
* Isolation bonus of AUD$3,605 after 1 year, AUD$10,815 after 2 years, and AUD$7,210 for the 3rd year and each subsequent year (pro rata for part‐time employees).

Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Successful completion of pre‐employment screening, including criminal history checks.
* Evidence of vaccination or immunity to hepatitis A/B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis, and tuberculosis (VPD risk role).
* Probation may apply.
