Well known Government Department looking for an experienced Learning and Development Officer responsible for providing training to the business. Ideally you will have experience as a L&D Officer within Government or professional services.
**Responsibilities**
- Delivering learning and development activities including information sessions, workshops, and training to facilitate effective, consistent and informative customer service delivery.
- Coordinating the planning, administration, and resources necessary to prepare and deliver learning and development activities within agreed timeframes and to specified outcomes.
- Evaluating and recommending suitable external training providers and facilitators to deliver training with an emphasis on providing value for money, consistency, and quality outcomes.
- Providing advice on contemporary training practices and methodologies to senior management and if appropriate adapting or modifying to suit individual locations and learning needs
- Evaluating internal and external learning and development activities and regularly monitoring feedback to assist improved training methods and outcomes.
- Conducting training needs analyses and developing relevant training plans.
- Leading and ensuring you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
**Selection criteria**
- Minimum 3 years L&D experience
- Government experience preferred otherwise professional services.
- Thinks critically and acts on the broader purpose of the system
- Demonstrate strong skills, knowledge and expertise in training design, delivery, and evaluation
- Pursues opportunities for growth through agile learning, and development of self-awareness
