Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Perth office. This role will provide key support across concurrent projects, drawing on strengths and experience gained from a consulting engineering firm with a resources/minerals processing focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical systems, including conveyors, piping and hydraulics, for various engineering projects.
* Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently, meeting quality standards and client expectations.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring innovative solutions are implemented.
* Provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful project execution.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Significant experience in mechanical engineering within a mining and process facility setting.
* Strong technical background and demonstrated experience in materials handling and/or process plant design.
* Strong proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering tasks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a consultancy environment.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
