Essential Qualifications 
Diploma Qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent). 
A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one. 
First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis. 
Essential Skills and Attributes 
Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children. 
Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups. 
Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children. 
Ability to work as part of a diverse team. 
Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting. 
Desirable Skills and Knowledge 
Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years. 
Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service. 
Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs. 
Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development. 
Responsibilities
