Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda MPHS, provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population.
The 63 Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Operational and Administrative staff provide: 24-hour Accident and Emergency care,
Hospital Inpatient care,
Residential Aged Care,
Community Home Support services,
Community Women and Child Health Services,
Community and Public Health Services (including school health services),
Community Chronic Disease Services (including Renal Dialysis).
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse works within the multidisciplinary Community Health Team of the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service and is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of health program activities.
Temporary deployment may occur to fill critical staffing shortages within the community health team.
This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager Community Health and plays an important role in providing clinical support for Primary Health Care workers and others in the delivery of Primary Health Care Program activities.
Collaboration with the community, other agencies and the wider health service team is an essential feature of this role towards improvement of community health and well-being.
About you: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of: An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
