Seeking Mechanical Designers to join our Perth based team. The roles are offered on a 3-month or 6-month max term contract with the potential to extend. Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager you will be involved with a diverse range of projects from concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning within the mining and minerals processing sector.
Brief Duties
* Produce models and detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
* Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings
* Deliver and contribute to practical solutions
* Ensure project time and cost are met - monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations
* Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
* Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safe design practices
About You
* Minimum 3+ years relevant experience working on mining and minerals projects
* Minimum 5+ years if Senior
* Relevant Diploma or Associate Degree advantageous
* Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
* Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety
* Proficiency in MicroStation design software highly desirable
* Innovative thinker with the ability to work autonomously to deadlines
