Machine Operator Needed - Day shift and Night Shift
About the Role:
Our client is a well-known manufacturing and distribution business in Truganina - 3029. Recent growth has created multiple opportunities for experienced machine operators to join their business on an ongoing casual basis with a view to permanency.
Day Shift: 6:00AM - 3:00PM - $36.61 per hour + super
Night Shift: 10:00PM - 6:00AM - $43.02 per hour + super
Duties:
* Working on multiple cardboard manufacturing machines, responsible for ensuring the paper is fed into the machine correctly, and removed from the end of the production line with efficiency and accuracy.
* Quality checks on all products to ensure cutting, gluing and printing are to job order requirements.
* Machine operation.
* Calibration of machine settings.
* Lift and cut cardboard.
* Basic machine troubleshooting.
* Assisting with job changes, using basic hand tools.
About You:
* 1-2 years' experience minimum in a similar factory setting.
* Previous experience in operation of similar machines that do printing, cutting, gluing and work on conveyor belts.
* Able to troubleshoot basic issues with conveyors and machines.
* Physically fit and able to get up and down from steppers and small 4 step staircases where machines are.
* Able to complete quality checks of products looking at cut shape, glue binding, and printing.
* Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual tasks.
* Positive attitude with the desire and ability to learn and establish a career in manufacturing.
* Proof of a stable, reliable work history with minimal to no days off.
* Ability to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday.
* Immediate and full availability to work.
* Clean police record.
* Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random onsite testing.
* Full unrestricted working rights.
