We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

The School
Dampier Primary School (PS) is a proud Independent Public-School catering for students from K-6. Our school is a small learning community situated in the heart of the Pilbara flanked by the red dirt and the pristine waters of the Dampier Archipelago.

The Role
We are actively seeking K-6 Teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills, who can communicate effectively and build genuine relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
As a teacher at Dampier PS, you will be expected to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, set high expectations, and foster a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
