About the Role
Our client in Canning Vale is seeking a permanent full-time
Warehouse & Supply Chain Coordinator
to join their growing heavy-vehicle engineering and workshop operation.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you will manage end-to-end procurement, inventory control, and warehouse operations while supporting engineers, technicians, and workshop leaders.
You'll be handling purchasing, supplier management, stock accuracy, warehouse organisation, and parts coordination to ensure the workshop has the materials required for production and custom engineering builds.
Shift Timings & Salary
* Salary:
$100,000 - $120, % Superannuation
* Hours:
Monday to Friday, flexible start (approx. 6:30am-7:30am)
* Occasional Saturday work
depending on workloads
* Training travel:
Initial onboarding/training in South Australia (within the first month, with ongoing support for approx. 6 months)
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing the full procurement lifecycle including raising POs, tracking deliveries, receipting, and supplier coordination
* Negotiating pricing, lead times, and supply options
* Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes, and data integrity within the ERP (SAP advantageous)
* Organising and improving warehouse layout, processes, and stock control
* Occasional order picking & operating forklift to load & unload
* Identifying and sourcing mechanical and heavy-vehicle components
* Reading technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Supporting workshop technicians and engineers by ensuring timely and accurate parts availability
* Coordinating freight movements, bookings, dispatch, and general logistics administration
What They're Looking For
* Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or warehouse coordination
* Strong warehouse/inventory management background
* Ability to read technical drawings and interpret BOMs
* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or heavy-vehicle environment
* ERP experience (SAP highly regarded)
* High level of organisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement
* Able to work autonomously and take ownership of supply chain operations
* Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
You'll also need:
* Valid driver's licence
* Comfortable working in a workshop environment and handling physical parts
Desirable:
* LF Forklift licence
* Parts interpreting experience
* Exposure to custom manufacturing or heavy-vehicle components
* Experience improving warehouse or supply chain processes
