Local Laws Officer
This is a dynamic, front-line role where you are the face of the Council, primarily interacting with residents in the field, explaining requirements, and ensuring compliance with local laws.
Key Details & Compensation
* Role: Local Laws Officer
* Contract: 12 weeks (Casual Agency) with strong potential for ongoing extension.
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. (Occasional weekend shifts with notice after training).
* Pay Rate: $40.43 per hour (Band 4). A higher rate may be negotiated for candidates with exceptional experience and the right motivational fit.
What You'll Be Doing
* Engaging with residents, conducting door knocks, and representing the Council in the community.
* De-escalating customer frustration and communicating complex requirements with professionalism and clarity.
* Interpreting and applying local legislation and by-laws.
* Utilising field technology (handheld devices, body-worn cameras).
