Overview
Catholic Homes is seeking Home Care Support Workers to join our home care team on a permanent part-time basis in Armadale and surrounding areas. This position will be responsible for providing in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport and/or daily living supports for our home care clients.
You must be flexible and available to work at least three days per week to cover both morning and afternoon shifts.
Our Home Care team endeavours to build strong and lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home for longer and allow them to get out into the community to do the things they enjoy doing.
Responsibilities and qualifications
* A great personality and willing to chat and engage with our clients.
* Somebody who is dedicated and 100% reliable and flexible.
* Available to work at least 3 days per week to complete shifts in the morning and afternoon. Some weekend work also available.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to demonstrate empathy with our elderly clients and a caring nature.
* People who take pride in their work, appearance and prepared to make a difference in somebody else's life every day. Person-centred care.
* A roadworthy and registered vehicle and current C class WA driver\'s licence.
* The ability and commitment to uphold high standards of work and to represent our company at the highest.
* Qualification in Aged Care.
* Experience in Community Aged Care or NDIS (desirable).
* Employee Assistance Program (free confidential counselling service).
* Comprehensive induction program, training and ongoing professional development.
* Ongoing support from the Home Care Operations Manager, Support Worker Team Leader and wider Home Care team.
