Shoelace Creative is a boutique creative marketing agency that lives for high-impact content. We work with everyone from local legends to government organisations, delivering top-tier video production, photography, graphic design, and marketing strategy.
We are looking for a Geelong-based superstar to join the family and act as a right-hand support to one of our senior leaders. We’re a lean, high-performing team where everyone wears a few different hats, and we’re looking for someone smart enough to \"read the room\" and jump in wherever the business needs a boost.
The Opportunity: Start Small, Grow Big
We want to build a long-term relationship. We’re starting small to ensure we’re the perfect fit for each other, with plenty of room to scale up.
* The Hours: Minimum 8 hours per week to start. These can be broken into two days to suit your schedule—we are big on flexibility! This would also suit school hours if you're juggling kids, or a study schedule.
* Family Friendly: We are VERY understanding of people juggling small kids and have a culture that supports this. Our company directors both manage small families are have support systems in place for moving shifts around and runnung off to a toddler emergency. We've built this company whilst building families, and that is very important to us. We're not your average employer.
* The Location: Geelong-based. Most of our team is remote, but this role includes a few hours of face-to-face time in Geelong for strategy and catch-ups.
* The Future: For the right candidate, there’s an opportunity for more hours, potentially leading to a full-time position down the track.
* The Pay: We offer our Standard Casual Rate of $37.50 per hour (including loading).
* This is a pro-rata equivalent of $74,100 per annum based on a 38-hour week.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be supporting account management, sales, and general business operations. A major part of your role will be keeping our creative projects on track and our systems humming.
* Production Scheduling: You’ll assist in creating schedules for projects with lots of moving parts. This involves coordinating crew, timetables, and equipment to ensure we execute projects efficiently.
* Sales & Proposals: Alongside our head of sales, you’ll help drive key proposals and manage incoming sales leads to ensure our clients feel looked after from day one. You understand the nuance of driving a long term business partnership to land an account.
* Business Support: General admin and operations support for the leadership team to keep the gears turning.
* Digital Ecosystem Management: You’ll be working across our tech stack to keep data accurate and projects moving.
Don't stress about the paperwork: We have templates for literally everything! Our documents are designed for ease of use and quick inputs, and we’ll train you up on exactly how we use them.
Our Software Ecosystem
You’ll be a wizard across our core platforms:
* Google Workspace: Gmail and Drive for all things communication and filing.
* Xero: For accounting, quoting, and keeping the finances tidy.
* Monday.com: Our CRM and project management \"brain.\"
* Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets): Confidence here is a massive plus!
Who You Are
* Proactive: You don’t wait to be told what to do. you see a gap, you see a solution, and you jump in.
* A Spreadsheet Fan: You actually enjoy a well-organised Google Sheet or Excel doc.
* A Great Communicator: You’re confident dealing with people and can represent Shoelace Creative with professionalism and personality.
* An Organiser: You can juggle multiple tasks and schedules without breaking a sweat.
* Experience: Backgrounds in account management, sales, or high-level customer service are ideal. Agency or marketing experience is a bonus, but not essential.
