What You'll Do
* As the Junior Buyer - Baby/Kids and Beauty categories you will be responsible for sourcing both local and international brands to build a market-leading product range. This role is key to ensuring we offer competitive deals and an excellent customer experience for these key growth categories. You will also:
* Execute new buying opportunities by sourcing local brands and international suppliers.
* Negotiate the best deals with suppliers to ensure we can deliver market-leading prices to customers.
* Purchase world-leading brands as well as private-label products.
* Strategy manage and grow the Baby/Kids and Beauty categories.
* Conduct thorough competitor research to identify market trends.
* Manage range selection, stock, and aged inventory to meet performance targets.
* Analyse data to make smart purchasing and import decisions.
* Set competitive and market-leading pricing strategies.
* Ensure product content is optimised for Google and the website to improve customer discoverability.
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of experience in a buying role, ideally in the retail or e-commerce sector.
* E-commerce experience preferred
* Highly analytical and data-focused with a strong understanding of key compliance considerations for the categories.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets and experience with products like Google Analytics
* A strong negotiator who can secure the very best deals
* Passionate about buying and sourcing
* A University Degree is required.
