Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to lead the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). This role involves managing crews, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Site Management: Lead and manage field crews and subcontractors across multiple sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Foster a positive and productive team environment by leading site supervisors and crew leaders to meet safety, quality, and performance expectations.
* Risk Management: Champion safety and compliance by conducting regular site audits, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring all activities align with internal and client safety procedures and legislative requirements.
* Project Delivery: Oversee project planning and delivery, profit and loss management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and meet contractual obligations.
* Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support smooth project execution and resolve issues proactively.
* Scopes and Quotes:
* Plant and Equipment: Monitor and manage plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal utilisation, maintenance, and availability to support uninterrupted project delivery.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and team performance, and implementing practical solutions that add value to the business.
About You:
This role requires an experienced leader with a strong electrical background and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. You will have a trade qualification in electrical or related field, at least 5 years' experience in the electrical industry, and proven leadership experience managing crews and contractors.
