Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician Position
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive range of assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families. This position is an opportunity to be part of a team that is passionate and driven, while also receiving opportunities for skill building, training and high-level supervision.
This role involves managing a complex caseload with presentations from 0-17 year olds from various psycho-social backgrounds. The clinician will provide evidence-based treatment modalities, including client-centred psychotherapies and family-focused therapies such as Attachment-Based Family Therapy, CBT and DBT.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a complex caseload of children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
* Conduct extensive networking with services such as education departments, schools, GPs and other private, government and non-government services.
* Provide evidence-based treatment modalities, including individual, group and parent-focused clinical services.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing and registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent mental health and intermediate knowledge and skills in family relationship issues.
* Capacity for multi-disciplinary work, including peer work.
