About the role
Design Management Leadership : Lead and manage all aspects of the design process across project phases.
Risk, Quality & Compliance : Maintain risk registers, manage design-related risks and opportunities.
Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination : Act as the key interface between designers, construction teams, and clients.
Value Engineering & Innovation : Champion innovation and value engineering throughout design and bid phases.
Commercial & Contractual Oversight : Negotiate and manage consultancy agreements, monitor consultant budgets and variations.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with CPEng status highly regarded.
Strong understanding of civil and structural design processes, with the ability to engage in technical discussions and manage design during tender and delivery phases.
Proven experience in design and construct civil infrastructure projects, ideally for State or Federal government clients, with knowledge of the estimation process to support tender and EOI submissions.
Demonstrated ability to manage small teams, including subcontractors and consultants, while fostering collaborative working relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to liaise effectively across diverse project teams and stakeholders.
