About The Role
An opportunity is available for two experienced Contract Administrators to support the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and maintenance projects within a high-performing program delivery environment. Working alongside project teams, commercial managers, engineers, and external delivery partners, you will play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, effective contract administration, and timely commercial outcomes across project lifecycles. This role will suit professionals with strong experience managing construction or infrastructure‐related contracts who thrive in fast‐paced project environments and can confidently engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Position Details
* Position: Contract Administrator x 2 - $550-$600/day + super
* Location: Sydney Olympic Park
* Working Arrangement: Hybrid | 3 days office / 2 days WFH
* Start Date: ASAP pending checks
* Duration: 3 months with possible extension
* Hours: 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
* Support the administration and management of infrastructure and project delivery contracts.
* Assist with compensation events, variations, early warnings, claims, and contractual notices.
* Review and assess contractor progress claims and supporting documentation.
* Coordinate contract documentation, approvals, extensions, and close‐out activities.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining Contract Management Plans and governance reporting.
* Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, policies, delegations, and procurement frameworks.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, legal teams, suppliers, and commercial stakeholders.
* Support procurement and quotation activities including RFQs and commercial assessments.
* Contribute to risk identification, issue escalation, and mitigation planning.
* Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and reporting within relevant systems.
* Assist with dispute resolution processes and commercial negotiations where required.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across contract management processes and systems.
* Ensure adherence to safety, governance, and regulatory requirements across all activities.
* Administer project‐related systems including SAP, Ariba, and contractor delivery portals.
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in contract administration or contract management within construction, utilities, engineering, infrastructure, or project delivery environments.
* Demonstrated experience managing contracts throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Strong understanding of commercial administration, claims management, variations, and supplier engagement.
* Exposure to NEC4 contracts or similar construction contract frameworks highly regarded.
* Experience working within large and complex organisations preferred.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within matrix project teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience preparing commercial reports, contractual correspondence, and governance documentation.
* Sound understanding of procurement and contract compliance processes.
* Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Law, Business, or related discipline preferred.
* Experience using SAP, Ariba, or project delivery systems advantageous.
* Strong commitment to workplace safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Must have valid Australian working rights with no sponsorship available for this position.
* Ability to complete reference checks and a National Police Check.
