About the Role
As our Assistant Accountant – Management Reporting & Inventory, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a hands-on, diverse role that will give you exposure to end-to-end accounting, financial analysis, and operational insights.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Managing the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Supporting month-end processes and preparing reporting schedules
Assisting with payroll, supplier and customer rebates, and system maintenance
Providing financial and margin analysis, including performance insights across business units
Working with the CFO on process improvements, special projects, and growth initiatives
Taking ownership of stock and inventory functions, including:
Cost and margin analysis
Pricing reviews
Monitoring stock levels
Identifying excess or short-dated stock
Supervising stocktakes and reconciliations

About You
You will succeed in this role if you are proactive, analytical, and eager to grow.
We're looking for someone with:
3–5 years' experience in an accounting or assistant accountant role
Strong technical accounting skills and advanced Excel proficiency
Experience with Xero and integrated AP systems
Understanding of stock / inventory management
Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
A desire to learn, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bonus experience:
Ecommerce or online retail
Healthcare, veterinary, or pharmaceutical sectors
