Somerville House is a day and boarding school for girls established in 1899, providing exceptional education for students from Prep through to Year 12, with a co-educational Pre-Prep offering. Somerville House students have the opportunity to participate in an extensive academic, sporting and cultural program, while receiving high standards in personal care and individual attention within the School community.

We are seeking an experienced Educator to join our well-established Early Learning Centre on a fixed-term basis working 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday for the 2026 academic year. This position will commence as negotiated with the successful candidate as soon as practical.
This position would find you working collaboratively with teachers to assist students within Pre-Prep. With a passion for education, you will provide quality learning experiences and support the inclusion of all children
Our ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of the Pre-Prep program, providing an environment of fun and learning through play-based activities.
About You
* Do you have experience of working with children with diverse learning needs in an Early Learning environment?
* Are you willing to be part of a highly developed and equipped team where you can contribute innovative ideas?
* Do you have sound knowledge and experience with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)?

It is a mandatory requirement to hold a Certificate III (or higher) in Children's Services (Early Childhood) and a current paid blue card (working with children check).
