As a Hospitality Cook, you will:
- Handle daily food preparation, undertake duties assigned by the Head Chef and contribute to daily kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
- Assist in all aspects of planning, preparing and cooking food items with the highest level of quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to all health and food safety, compliance and regulations.
- Assist in the basic maintenance of equipment and undertake regular upkeep of area to ensure that operational equipment is available and working.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a Trades Certificate or completion of year 12 with relevant work experience; or
- Equivalent relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Current Certificate in food handling.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires the incumbent to work outside business hours.
- This position is a flexible ordinary hours span position which offers additional loadings to salary as per clause 43.3 of Deakin’s Enterprise Agreement.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current Working with Children Check.
