The organization is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of High-Level Commercial Manager. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, governance, and commercial performance of major contracts.
This is a full-time position responsible for monitoring contractual obligations, drafting formal notices, managing risk, procurement, subcontract management, variation processes and supporting the delivery team in achieving optimal project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and provide input on subcontract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with contract requirements.
* Support preparation of procurement and subcontracting strategies to align with project needs.
* Identify and mitigate commercial and legal risks before contract execution.
* Draft, issue, and track contractual notices, claims, variations, extensions of time, and dispute correspondence.
* Maintain complete and accurate contractual records, registers, and document control for audit readiness.
* Ensure compliance with commercial frameworks and contracts.
* Provide training and guidance to project teams on contractual obligations and notice requirements.
* Identify, monitor, and escalate key risks to senior management.
* Support internal and external audits of contract management processes.
* Assist in reviewing and drafting key subcontracts.
* Collaborate with the legal team to agree updates to subcontracts and purchasing documentation.
* Assess quotations from suppliers and manage supply contracts and agreements.
* Monitor internal usage demands and modify supply contracts as needed.
* Leverage organizational 'buying power' across all contracts.
* Develop and implement strategies for managing contractual issues associated with procurement.
Requirements:
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
* Highly developed analytical and organizational skills.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
