Contribute to delivering on ASIC's purpose, vision, and strategic priorities to help maintain the integrity of the financial system and protect consumers from harm.Join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary national team as an Analyst, where your sharp thinking and investigative skills will help drive integrity and accountability by assessing misconduct and statutory reports that matter.Location - Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane or PerthSalary starting from $78,720 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuationPermanent, full-time roleApplications close at 11:59pm AEST 17 June 2025The teamJoin ASIC's Regulatory Insights & Assessment (RI&A) team - a key part of the Registry & Intelligence division driving an intelligence-led, data-informed regulatory approach. RI&A assesses and escalates reports of misconduct and statutory breaches, reviews funding applications under the Assetless Administration Fund, and helps combat investment scams. The team also issues compliance alerts and contributes to protecting Australian investors through proactive intelligence work.The roleAs a Analyst, you will:Assess and report on misconduct, breach, and statutory reports of moderate complexity.Escalate issues as needed to manage regulatory risk.Support Senior Analysts on complex matters and investigations.Conduct inquiries using internal/external data, liaise with external parties, and apply ASIC's powers where required.Communicate effectively with the public and tailor messaging for diverse audiences.Undertake legal research and prepare recommendations under relevant legislation.Share knowledge to support team development.Maintain accurate records across internal systems.About youIn this role, you will take on additional responsibilities as needed, working professionally, positively, and collaboratively as part of ASIC while embodying our core values of Accountability, Professionalism, and Teamwork. You will also maintain a strong commitment to health and safety, taking reasonable care for your own well-being and that of others in the workplace.In addition, you will have:A relevant bachelor's degree in law, finance, accounting, or related discipline.Experience in interpreting legislation and applying processes and procedures.Experience in client service or case management, preferably in a high-volume environment.Experience presenting information to different audiences using business writing and verbal communication skills.Experience in adapting and responding to change and the ability to cope with pressure.View the position description for more information or click 'apply' to start your application.
