About the Role
Are you a passionate employment lawyer looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a junior to mid-level (+PQE) experienced lawyer to join our team permanently. This is your chance to become a trusted advisor, partnering with our business on crucial employment law matters to drive commercial success. What You’ll Be Doing
* Strategic Legal Advice: Provide commercial, strategic legal counsel on employment law matters, including litigation, daily employment issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, discrimination cases, and termination matters.
* Governance & Compliance: Support the People & Culture Legal and Governance team with various governance and compliance projects.
* Future-Proofing: Ensure our company is prepared to adapt to changes in employment-related litigation or case law.
About You and Your Skills
* Qualifications: Legal qualification and current practicing certificate.
* Experience: Entry-mid level 3+ PQE years of experience in employment law, with a proven track record in litigation at the Fair Work Commission.
* Expertise: Managing complex employment law matters in large organisations, ideally ASX listed.
* Preferred Background: In-house, secondment, and/or workplace relations experience.
* Skills: Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders, handle change in a fast-paced environment, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, client and results-focused, motivated with a can-do attitude, and adept at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
