The Position
With feedback to say the accommodation is very comfortable right next to the practice and that the staff are lovely and with great nurses, this rural practice has often had doctors returning on multiple occasions to assist where they can. Working alongside the permanent GP plus on many occasions a second locum as well, this clinic is open Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm, closing for an hour across lunch. There is a fair percentage of chronic disease in the population of around 2.5k, but many young families also require primary care. There is full-time nursing support as well as allied health services. $1400 is paid daily and it is primarily a bulk-billing clinic. Cover to be provided in the GP clinic and to assist with the weekly nursing home round where possible (within the usual clinic hours).
