Professional development and leadership opportunities About this role: In this permanent new role you will provide Human Factors expertise and support the assurance of Human Factors integration across the lifecycle of a diverse range of projects within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects team. You will ensure that a rigorous human‑centred design and assurance process is applied, delivering outcomes that are demonstrably safe, operationally effective, and fit‑for‑purpose for Queensland Rail operations. Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders within major projects at Queensland rail Support a portfolio of projects specialising in Human Factors interventions Support Human Factors integration and assurance across projects Maintain a professional knowledge of emerging trends and developments relating to human factors People Who Count - What you can bring to the role: High level of skill supporting the implementation of Human Factors processes Substantial knowledge of human factors principles, human centred design methods, and relevant Human Factors standards and legislation Substantial consulting, negotiation and interpersonal skills Substantial research, analytical and evaluation skills to investigate Human Factor initiatives and assess impacts Substantial organisation and prioritisation skills to manage competing demands Tertiary qualification in Human Factors or related discipline such as Psychology Rail experience will be highly regarded Progress that Counts Joining Queensland Rail means being part of an exciting future where you'll welcome millions of international passengers for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
