Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure a highly skilled Solution Architect assist the strategic initiatives to assess, design, and enhance Microsoft 365 (M365) utilisation across multiple environments.
About the Role
As the Microsoft 365 Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for assessing, designing, and enhancing the effective use of M365 across multiple environments, ensuring platform capabilities align with strategic and operational needs. You will evaluate current M365 utilisation, develop integration strategies, and improve communication and change management for platform updates, while tailoring solutions to support specific requirements such as overseas trips, camps, and emergency coordination. You'll strengthen security posture through the optimisation of Microsoft Defender and best-practice security controls and develop executive reporting frameworks with clear roadmaps and metrics. You'll also bring deep expertise in Azure automation and orchestration, designing and implementing automated workflows using Azure Automation, PowerShell, Logic Apps, and related services to improve operational efficiency across M365, identity, and enterprise IT environments.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll offer extensive experience designing and optimising M365 solutions in complex environments, bringing strong analytical and problem-solving capability to align platform services with diverse user needs. You will demonstrate deep expertise across Microsoft 365 architecture, security frameworks-particularly Microsoft Defender-and Azure automation technologies including Azure Automation, PowerShell, Logic Apps, and orchestration frameworks to drive secure, efficient operations. You'll be highly skilled in stakeholder engagement and change management, communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, managing competing priorities, and delivering outcomes in multi-stakeholder settings. With a proactive, collaborative approach and strong reporting capability, you'll develop clear executive dashboards and roadmaps that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across school and corporate environments.
The Benefits
You will be offered a 12-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
