We are seeking a talented Art Historian to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging courses, coordinate curriculum, assess student performance, provide academic guidance, and adhere to teaching guidelines.
* Research and Scholarship: Establish a strong research profile, collaborate on projects, secure funding, publish in reputable journals, employ best practice methodologies, and contribute to project discussions.
* Student Supervision and Development: Mentor students, recruit and manage staff, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure accurate remuneration and benefits.
* Citizenship and Service: Develop strategic partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, participate in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative tasks, support colleagues, and uphold our values.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and coordinating art-historical content within the program, collaborating with colleagues to develop art-historical content for other courses, and leading/coordinating (Level B) or extensive experience leading/coordinating (Level C) courses. They will also contribute to the development and innovation of curricula and course material.
Requirements
* Teaching Experience: Proven track record of designing and delivering effective courses.
* Research Expertise: Strong background in art history research, with publications in reputable journals.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor students, staff, and colleagues, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
