Landscape Elements is seeking a commercially strong, people-focused Residential Manager to lead our Front Gardens & Residential Construction Department.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is accountable for the profitable operation of the Residential Department while building and leading a high-performing, values-driven team.

This role presents a genuine opportunity for personal and professional growth, while shaping the future of the Residential Department, with a strong focus on expanding and diversifying services beyond the current offering, improving delivery models, and driving sustainable growth aligned with the broader business.

This is not just a project delivery role.
This is a leadership role and an opportunity to take ownership of a key business unit, influence its direction, build capability within the team, and play a critical part in the continued growth of Landscape Elements. You will have the autonomy to lead, with the support of an experienced team, and the platform to make a meaningful impact across both people and performance.

About Landscape Elements

Landscape Elements is a multi-division landscaping business delivering construction, maintenance, irrigation and specialist services across Perth. Our Residential Department delivers high-volume front garden estate packages and residential construction works, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and long-term client relationships.

We value integrity, accountability, professionalism and team alignment. Culture matters here.

About the Role

The Residential Manager is responsible for leading operational performance across residential construction delivery while achieving strong commercial outcomes.

You will oversee:

* Residential construction delivery to scope, programme and margin
* Subcontractor engagement, performance and compliance
* Client relationship management and communication
* Planning and scheduling of labour, plant and materials
* Variations, reporting and financial oversight
* Team leadership, coaching and performance management
* Safety, compliance and quality standards

You will be accountable for departmental profitability, project delivery performance and maintaining high standards across workmanship, safety and client satisfaction.

The Leader We're Looking For

We are looking for a leader who is secure in their ability without ego, someone humble, confident and grounded. You lead with quiet authority and set clear expectations without needing to dominate a room. You remain calm under pressure and approach problems with measured thinking rather than emotion. When issues arise, you lean into solutions and take ownership.

You operate with a genuine team-first mindset. You collaborate across departments, avoid politics and focus on what is best for the business as a whole. You communicate honestly and directly, raising issues early and constructively. You value clarity and accountability.

You are a builder of people. You enjoy mentoring supervisors, lifting capability and developing future leaders. You are practical and hands‐on when required, and respected by crews because you understand the realities of site delivery and back your team with action.

If you lead with integrity, professionalism and accountability, this role will suit you.

Key Responsibilities

The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing residential construction delivery to ensure works are completed to scope, quality, programme and margin targets. The role includes managing subcontractor performance, compliance and quality, supporting tender submissions and business development, and ensuring client expectations are aligned with contracted scope and budgets. Effective planning, scheduling and resource coordination are central to successful delivery.

A key component of the role is identifying and driving opportunities to diversify and expand the Residential Department beyond its current scope. This includes contributing to new service offerings, improving delivery models, and supporting the strategic growth and development of the department in line with broader business objectives.

The role leads, coaches and develops supervisors and site teams, building a cohesive and accountable team culture. This includes managing performance in a constructive and professional manner, supporting recruitment and onboarding within approved budgets, and strengthening team capability to support ongoing department growth.

The Residential Manager is accountable for departmental financial performance, delivering projects within approved budgets and margin targets, reviewing and analysing monthly reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and variation management.

The role leads by example in promoting a strong safety‐first culture, ensures compliance with all HSE policies and site safety requirements, and maintains high standards of presentation, workmanship and site conduct.

What You'll Bring
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a supervisory, project management or operational leadership role
* Strong experience managing subcontractors and site‐based delivery teams
* Demonstrated commercial awareness and financial accountability
* Proven ability to manage diverse personalities and build team cohesion
* Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making capability
* Clear and confident written and verbal communication
* Diploma in Horticulture or related qualification
* Trade or technical landscaping / construction background
* Waterwise accreditation
* White Card & C Class Driver's Licence
What We Offer
* Senior leadership role within a growing multi‐division business
* Direct reporting line to the General Manager
* Company vehicle
* Performance‐driven environment with strong executive support
* Opportunity to shape and elevate the Residential Department
