About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Lemontree Feedlot as a full-time Assistant Maintenance Manager based in Millmerran, QLD. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's facilities and equipment to ensure smooth operations. With a focus on preventative maintenance, you will play a crucial part in keeping our business running efficiently and safely.
What you'll be doing
* Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of equipment, machinery, and facilities
* Identify and address potential issues before they become problems, through proactive maintenance and monitoring
* Assist with the coordination and supervision of third-party contractors and maintenance providers
* Provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements to improve the efficiency and reliability of our facilities
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, preferably with mechanical and welding experience.
* Strong practical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issues
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address potential problems
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment maintenance
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
* Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and external contractors
