About the Trainee role for Certificate 3:
The traineeship involves on the job training and completing a Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care. This role is suitable for any recent school leaver or if you're looking for your first step/ entry level role in early childhood.
* You will gain the industry recognised minimum qualification you'll need to begin your career in early childhood education
Trainee role for Diploma:
This is an opportunity for a candidate that would like to upskill to a Diploma.
The successful candidate will work towards gaining a Certificate III qualification or upskill to Diploma.
You will work alongside experienced educators and gain exposure to children of all age groups.
Our centre is a friendly family owned and operated Child Care Centre, providing a wonderful learning environment for up to 58 children per day, ranging in ages from 0-6 years and school aged children for before and after school care.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following;
· Working Monday to Friday with a variety of shifts
· Ensuring supervision and safety of children during indoor and indoor activities
· Taking part in programming following the Early Years Learning framework
· Set up educational activities and experiences
Supporting daily routines including:
· Changing nappies
· Assisting with meal times and rest time
· Interacting, playing and engaging with children
· Maintaining a safe environment at all times
· Covering staff lunch breaks and assisting in daily cleaning duties
· Forming strong relationships with children, parents and families
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Not currently be undertaking any other traineeship.
* Willingness to learn, complete training and studies
* Passionate to work with children
* Flexible and able to demonstrate team work
* Applicant must have a genuine desire to pursue a career in early childhood/child care
* Show initiative, be punctual and be enthusiastic
* Good written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ability to read, write and speak English
* Willingness to undertake Working with children check will apply for the position
* The ability to work with people in difficult situations and circumstances
* Empathy, patience, and the capacity to empower others
* Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask and respond well to rapid change

Pay: $18.00 – $45,000.00 per hour
