Position Overview: As an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) at Lotus Montessori, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality educational programs that align with Montessori principles. You will guide children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while creating a safe and stimulating environment. Montessori knowledge and qualifications are not mandatory, as you will receive mentorship and training to gain Montessori knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement effective learning programs following the Montessori approach and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Lead and mentor other educators, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
* Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports each child's growth and development.
* Develop strong relationships with children, families, and staff, ensuring open communication.
* Regularly assess, document, and communicate children's learning progress and developmental milestones.
* Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS) and child safety regulations.
* Support and participate in the ongoing improvement of the center's practices and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (recognized by ACECQA).
* RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care) certification (mandatory).
* A strong understanding of child development and early learning frameworks.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid Certification.
* Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
* Passionate about early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy.
