**Position Information**:
Normanhurst Boys High school with an enrolment 740 students is an academically selective, high school with approximately 85% of students from a language background other than English. The school has an exceptional wellbeing program, with a commitment to excellence and catering for the needs of gifted and talented students. Focus is on maximising student learning outcomes within a holistic educational environment that incorporates a diverse range of extracurricular activities. The school also provides various opportunities to help students develop their leadership capacity. There is a particularly strong emphasis upon instilling awareness about importance of social justice and developing the values and attitudes that will enable them to make an outstanding contribution to society. **Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Science (7-10) and approval to teach stage 6 Physics and stage 6 Chemistry.
Capacity to teach year 11 Physics and/or year 11 Chemistry to a range of HPGE students in a selective school environment.
Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with colleagues within the science faculty and across the whole school as an effective member of a team.
Capacity to use knowledge of curriculum and assessment to design differentiated lessons and assessments and use student assessment data to provide explicit teaching and learning experiences and improve student learning outcomes.
