Job Role:
The Grand Hotel in Melbourne, Australia seeks a passionate and experienced Full-Time Sous Chef to join their team.
* Support the Head Chef in leading and developing a diverse kitchen team.
* Implement and manage food safety policies and procedures.
* Prepare and cook menu items as per cooking guidelines and established standards.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and implement menus that cater to customer preferences.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Possess a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Hold a current Food Handlers Certificate
* Experience working in a fast-paced pub/bistro environment
This role may require you to work in a dynamic environment that involves physical activity such as lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for extended periods of time, and utilising stairs.
