Project Manager

The Role
The role of Project Manager belongs to the Digital Technology team in the Finance, Infrastructure and Digital Technology directorate. We have 5 office campuses across the state and this role will be based at our West Leederville office.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position commencing in March 2026 and concluding in March 2027.
As a Project Manager within Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA), you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing various technology projects that contribute to the growth and development of Catholic schools across the state. Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will play a key role in managing critical projects within the Digital Technology space, ensuring their successful implementation and alignment with CEWA's strategic vision.
The primary accountabilities of this role include:
Project Planning and Execution
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate project kick-off meetings, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and proactively implementing solutions to ensure timely completion.
Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with school principals, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and incorporate their feedback into project planning.
• Maintain regular communication with all involved parties, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Resource Management:
• Allocate resources efficiently and effectively, including staff, finances, and materials, to support the successful execution of projects.
• Work with relevant departments to ensure the availability of necessary resources and manage any resource constraints.

Quality Assurance:
• Develop and implement quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of education and adherence to Catholic values in all projects.
• Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure project outcomes against established objectives.
Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects, and develop mitigation plans to minimise their impact.
• Monitor and address project-related issues promptly to avoid disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, detailing the status of ongoing projects, achievements, and upcoming milestones.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring that all relevant information is well-documented and easily accessible.
Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously assess project management processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in project management and education to apply innovative approaches to projects.

Selection Criteria
A.ESSENTIAL:
1.Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
2.Proven experience as a Project Manager.
3.PRINCE2, SAFe 5.0/6.0, PMBOK or other relevant industry certifications with deep understanding ofITIL and Agile Frameworks.
4.Astute attention to detail with an understanding how and when to escalate issues through appropriatechannels.
5.Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong and resilient relationships with stakeholder groups, activelyseeking feedback and driving continuous improvement.
6.Effective leadership abilities to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
7.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to producecomprehensive performance reports that outline targets, improvement outcomes, risks, and issues.
8.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
9.Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
10.Proficient in project management tools and software.
B.HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
1.Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
2.Prior experience working within or supporting education organisations.
